The Baz Luhrmann produced musical drama, starring Jaden Smith, apparently was a high cost for Netflix, racking in at about $120 million just for the first season alone.
According to Deadspin, the showβs cost led to multiple production delays, which resulted in season one being split into two 6-episode bundles.
